How check-in works

Arrive 20 minutes early

Check-in, harness fitting and the ground school all happen before your departure time. Arriving late means missing the safety briefing, which means missing the tour.

Bring nothing but yourself

Harness, helmet and all safety equipment are included and fitted by your guide. Lockers at the base take bags, phones and keys.

Waivers are already done

You sign for every participant during checkout, so check-in is a name and a headcount rather than a clipboard.

Come prepared

What to wear and bring

  • Closed-toe shoes with a proper heel. No sandals, slides, flip-flops or backless shoes.
  • Layers. It runs several degrees cooler under the canopy than in the parking lot.
  • Long hair tied back, and nothing loose around the neck.
  • Sunscreen and a water bottle. Shade is patchy on the ridge.
  • Thin gloves in spring and autumn. Cables get cold.

Suitability

Who shouldn't climb

  • Participants must be in good health and free from dizziness or motion sickness.
  • Not suitable for anyone with high blood pressure, or heart, back or neck problems.
  • Not suitable during pregnancy.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required. No sandals, slides or backless footwear.

Every participant signs a liability waiver. A parent or legal guardian signs for anyone under 19. You do this during checkout, so there is nothing to fill in when you arrive.
